I’m not making an argument, I’m asking a question. And I’m surprised, because all these devotions require greens, which generally has decent OA options.
But maybe you’re talking about what used to be and not about what it’s like currently?
do i really need to namedrop every other magick devo build option?
Korvaak, Spear, Yugol, Ultos, Torch
Magick dmg builds going these devos natively/“naturally” got high or plenty OA, the same builds going sage/seru did not get what was considered “passable” or decent OA, and sometimes/in several cases in spite of stacking bunch of greenery to potentially making the builders consider it near fantasy or absurd needing ex multiple tempest affixes while sometimes still not being sufficient.
they also require a lot of purple, which doesn’t(didn’t?)
i don’t know for sure, at the time i feel it was “given up” on, and i’m not looped in anymore; aside from partial/4pt Sage i don’t recall seeing the seru combo used much recently atleast, not even in Lee’s PRM last round of PTR. But them devos getting buffed/being more stacked now to be worth was exactly the point of the feedback back then, so it was clearly deemed necessary to be worth (by better builders than i) - whether they are finally acceptable in the meta sense/to them i can’t say; but they didn’t used to be.(and meta was also more offensive then compared to bit more DA/HP etc stacking now)
The elemental OA concern is historic due to multiple patches of buffs to address it, so we all aren’t rocking infinite Tempest prefixes to hit 2700 OA before buffs. Except maybe ele tactician, they might still be hosed
