How auras affect pets

Hello so I have recently gotten back into grim dawn and it’s going well this time as I have taking the time to read alot of stuff and I feel like I have the mechanics of the game down fairly well this time (really I do! Lol). It really is a fantastic game but man, if only the mechanics were easier to understand how they work!

Anyway theres one thing I haven’t been able to get clear on. Say I have a aura like flame touched from the demolitionist. What exactly do the pets get from it, I know spell skills like drain essence from the necromancer will only get the percent damage and not the flat damage.

I looked at some really involved post about pet damage and after reading it I was thinking that pets are the opposite. They’ll get the flat damage but not the % damage… I’ve looked at other stuff that say other things. People seem to be confused on this topic.

Help please?

Player scaled pets do not benefit from auras at all, they will only receive whatever stats the PLAYER receives, regardless of if they are in the radius of the aura or not.

Normal pets are only affected by auras that they are within the radius of, but iirc they receive all bonuses from the aura.

Right so regular pets will get the aura if in range and they get all bonuses?

Player skilled pets get bonuses from the players level and stats so get an increase from the player getting a increase from the aura.

Do I have it right?

Oh and while were talking about it a spell skill such as esscence wouldn’t get the flat damage from a aura just the % right?
