I have a question.
I thought my PC would be enough for the game, but apparently it won’t.
My hardware:
Motherboard: MSI X570 Gaming EDge WIFI
GPU: MSI Geforce RTX 3080TI Supreme 12G
CPU AMD Ryzen 9 5950x
CPU Cooling: MSI MPG CoreLiquid K360 All-in-One
RAM: 48GB
32GB (2x 16GB) G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600 DIMM CL16-19-19-
16GB (2x 8GB) G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4-3000 DIMM CL16-18-18-
I have 60/50FPS when I start the game, it steadily decreases down to 12FPS as the game progresses. After that I have to quit the game and restart it. Then it starts at 30/40FPS and gradually goes down with the FPS again.
What can I do to keep the 60 FPS.
I’m just around 150/200 inhabitants
Best regards
Could try unticking the vsync to see if that helps. And the upcoming v0.8.1 patch is mainly to help with optimising the game some more so that should also help when it releases.

Yes, I’ve read about the patch and I really hope it helps. The game is really fun. Unfortunately, if I only have 10/20 FPs, the fun is gone and you can’t enjoy the game. I’ll give that a try with vsync
my computer is an eighth that of yours, and even so it runs at 15 fps in medium low with shadows and depth with 1000 villagers, maybe my pc will get used to the game haha
Take out the 16 GB of slow RAM from your system, and ensure in your BIOS that the 32 GB of RAM left is being properly utilized (dual channel at the specified speeds).
Good chance that’ll give you a decent speedup. Please run a CPU and memory benchmark before and after to confirm if it helps.

Agree with GreatWhite. Your memory config looks to be a problem. I have similar hardware as Cucumbe1 and get good FPS over 45 in 4K. Also check for latest Nvidia drivers. I’m not overclocking either so if you are then try stock settings for a while.
I was told the game is dependent on single thread performance so I went with the 12700K. The FPS picked up tremendously. I have 3080 10GB NOT Ti version.
On a fresh start of the game, I loaded a 152 pop town and got around 45-60 FPS while looking around with the majority of the town visible using an RTX 3070 on a 7950X with DDR5 CL30 6000 MT/s RAM. The GPU never gets maxed, nor any logical CPU.
Might have to be using the same save file to make a fair comparison since I believe a lot of performance is based on calculating NPC pathing (as well as waiting around for threads to sync or something instead of telling the GPU to draw a new frame, hence no logical CPU maxed nor GPU maxed).
