I’ve just bought the game and it’s installing at the moment, so I’m a complete newbie. I’ve been reading some tips online and almost everyone says to just dump all your attribute points into Physique and ignore Cunning & Spirit, which I thought “ah okay, fair enough”.
But considering the type of character I wanted to make (dual wield dagger Nightblade/Necro kind of guy with light armour) then it seems I’m gonna need Cunning & Spirit anyway, as according to the wiki pretty much every single dagger in the game requires a specific amount of Cunning & Spirit to wield.
So it seems like I’m gonna have to spread out my attribute points between all three attribute types, but apparently this is a really bad idea. I just don’t understand how I’m gonna be able to equip daggers if I’m focusing 100% on putting my attribute points into Physique.
Any help I can get would be appreciated, thanks guys.
Investing in your Mastery Bars for your two classes will raise all 3 stats and then the Devotion constellations you pick can also add stats; you can often get away with 10 points or so in your non primary Cunning/Spirit stat and put the rest into both Physique and your damage type stat (the other of Cunning/Spirit)
It’s true physique is good, but it’s only when leveling up to 94 or if you have less than 10-13k health. You still need to fill your spirit/cunning stat to use item, so try to have 10-20 unspent attribute points while you levels. Later in game you’ll get potion that resets your attributes point.
you can respec attributes at end when you have the expansion, so levelling attribute distribution doesn’t have any effect on endgame attribute distribution
and usually during levelling you don’t need that much in spirit or cunning to wield items that require that stat
that’s why the base advice of “put most in physique” works, since you tend to not need to put 75% of your points into ex spirit during levelling, as your mastery bar, devos etc will provide you most of what you need for the lesser stat requirement lower level/levelling items demand
