Am playing on vet level using build from forums am at level 51 no probs
except when I check build it says I should now be on epic level.
How do I get to this I havent even reached gate of necropolis?
what have I done wrong have noticed in some posts people in Ultimate
say they are only on lvl 67, way I playing I will be on 85 in veteran.
you have to kill Loghorrean (spelling probably wrong) Then teleport back to Fort Ikon for reward.
Then Log out to character select and switch to epic and hit play
great thanks very much.
Anyone who’s at L67 in Ultimate is likely to be dying a lot is my guess because they’re skipping a lot of the game. My Conjurer was at L64 when about halfway through Elite and a toon from the Grim Quest mod is just into Elite at L53.
You’re getting close to the end of Normal difficulty and once you’ve killed Loghorrean and reported back that will unlock the next difficulty (you’ll get a message onscreen to that effect). Then go back out to the character screen, click on Normal difficulty, choose Elite and Accept to begin all over again.
I get 64-65 at the start of ultimate completing all quests sans epic dungeon Outcast’s ones and the hidden path. I also activate all shrines on the way. Does this count as skipping a lot of the game?
I clear all areas and quests, but don’t usually manage to survive the Outcast’s rogue dungeons. I do do the Hidden Path though. I haven’t gotten to Ultimate yet, but from reading other people’s experiences they often reach L85 well before the end of the difficulty. No idea how much farming they may have done of course.
I was watching someone’s stream yesterday and they were L59 and at the Necropolis in Elite. I’m thinking to myself, boy are they going to get a shock when they unlock Ultimate at that low level.
You are at a similar point than I’m. Getting to Ultimate (Act 1) around level 67.
I do about 20 level in Crucible (10 Devotion point) and then I rush the content. I do all Quest (except Outcast I usually still do SoT cause it is easy to get Archives + 3 Bounty + I wait to go see the Undead that give you the quest for Zarthuzellan to actually reach Outcast so that’s an extra 2 Quest ((cashing in the 3 Oligarch and killing Zarthuzellan). I’m also damn well geared (One of my active non max level character is currently 55. Full Royal Exuberance, Full Praethorian, StoneFist Rebuke. Golemborn Greaves and some more stuff) I’m in Blood Grove and I’m just FLYING through the content (the two set have Component and I don’t have any Augment).
Still to place thing in perspective for the actual thread starter.
My first character left Normal level 55 after killing the end boss. He didn’t do BoC nor Port (He did do Step of Torment). Without pre-gear starting Elite somewhere between 50 and 55 seems normal. Fully geared I was able to kill Log (no dead in Normal) at level 34 with a Tanky Character (it wasn’t a fun experience really slow honestly) but since nothing could kill me I was just rushing from Quest to Quest.
My warder finished Ultimate at level 81. This is my 2nd toon that finish the game before level 85 (I have 6 max level character as of right now). The other one was a Sorcerer playing as a team that did finish Ultimate before hitting 85 but did hit 85 while “clearing” Ultimate.
My first four character did all hit 85 before Gates of Necropolis most of them actually did it around Homestead (either getting to Homestead or leaving Homestead).
Ultimate at 58 with great char is doable. You need some really good source of Poison resist to go through Act 1 and then Bleeding/Piercing/Fire for Act 2.
Even starting at 58 in Ultimate reaching Homestead you clearly should be at least near level 70 for the end game Augment (you will need those for the Chaos/Aether resistance going forward).
Also keep in mind if the Streamer is actually doing a rush to the end game and then come back to do a “Cleaning process” he can easily get an extra 5 level before getting into Ultimate.

I often keep Pine Barrens for the end game (just after the last Rift usually). This is 5 Quests with an easy access to a 4 Bountys “bonus” (there is about 10 bounty for the area divided between Legion and Homestead)
-
The Hidden Path Quest give a lot of XP
-
Getting the 2 Pieces for Mogdrogen + his Shrines give some nice XP also. Also easy to add Bounty on those run (Legion, Order, Kymon)
-
The “other” Honored Quest (Legion, DC, Homestead)
-
East March (so Anasteria Quest #2 + potentially Honored Order Quest)
-
Step of Torment. If he is playing like me that translate to A) Reward for the Oligarch Quest, Kill Zarthuzellan, Bounty for Revenant (or Monstruosity) Bounty for Mortalis, Archive of Fate Untold (Anasteria Quest #3) if I am with Kymon I add an extra Bounty from them and finally Alkamos

I even quite often don’t touch Conflagration when I get into Homestead cause of the Aether Resistance issue (once I reach Act Four I quite often get more Resist and the area is far easier). There is also Bounties potential (with Legion at least for an extra unique, Fleshwarped (Homestead) and if I’m not mistaken Anasteria also got one but rare to get something good with her she always want Relic or Rare Mats)
In Elite this represent A LOT of experience for the “Cleaning Difficulty Level” and I personally do all this either after Log or after the last Rift in Inner Necropolis.
