I’m using grimarillion mod and am wanting to raise devotion point cap and found this: Devotions... Can't figure out how to change max points in Asset Manager... Help please ;_;
I don’t know how to do anything in the asset manager, I literally just found out it exists today so could someone help me with this?
records/creatures/pc/playerlevels i think it is
not 100% sure that’s it, but i think it is
grimarillion doesn’t have that in its mod directory. If I extract it from base game, make the change and paste the changed dbr into the grimarillion mod records folder will it work? I don’t know how to add files to existent mods
*i’m assuming if Grimarill doesn’t have the playerlevels dbr it’s because the overall mod does nothing that changes/modifies things in it
you can do it a couple of ways, open/extract Grimarill if possible and just import the playerlevels dbr into the mod, make your changes and build
^this has the drawback of needing to be redone everytime grimarillion updates/each time you download one of Asylum’s posted new mod updates
alternatively you “extra” mod your game, by simply making a basemod with the changes to playerlevels.dbr and then it should be applied in grimarill/regular custom mode mods i think
^caveat here being you need to remember you’re basemodding, so if you ever switch mod or go to regular campaign mode/non custom mode, you might want to turn off the basemod
i feel like there was a 3rd method too, but i don’t really recall what it was offhand, might be worth either asking in the Grim Dawn discord modding channel or wait if any of the other modders peak in here
basemod is a way to run modifications without custom mode or ontop of it without launching a direct mod in custom mode.
It’s basically just like an unnamed mod, that’s just an arz file, the game can read with a launch command instead, that then still overwrites basegame data like a mod would do, which can be useful for small changes or just playing MC with some minor modifications
