Giving Blooy Pox build a go and well enjoying it far more than I thought I would so far!
My question is does the vitality dmg element act as the bleed dmg and is applied every second? It just that it does stat it is in the description like bleed dmg does.
Also how does vitality decay work? Is that applied again every second like bleed?
It’s per second. Everything works the same in DoT skills. It also states e.g. Bleed damage per second.
DoT effects like Vitality Decay stack, while skills don’t. For example, you can apply 170 bleed over 5 seconds and 120 bleed over 2 seconds, and you’ll hit for 290 per second for 2 seconds, then after you’ll hit only 170 per second for 3 seconds because the other effect already vanished. DoT effects (vitality decay, frostburn, poison, bleed etc) don’t heal you if you have ADCTH and the skill heals on its own (Siphon souls), while flat damage (vitality damage, physical damage, fire damage) does heal you.
If you apply one Bloody pox, the next one used will refresh the duration only. If the bleeding and poison damage in Bloody Pox would deal damage over e.g. 3 seconds, you could stack this effect to hit for more with the DoT effects.
E.g. I have 12/12 BP and cast it twice in quick succession. At 12/12 it does 47 vitality damage/tick for 5 seconds. After casting twice, does it now do 94 damage/tick over 5 seconds? Or does it just refresh the duration but still only does 47 damage/tick?
If you cast one instance on another, the first is removed
or
if you cast the same instance twice, the instance will be refreshed
This means if you do what you said, you just remove the first one and apply a new one, or refresh the first instance and none other will be applied. Depends on how you want to understand it.
He never said about them being from the same source. In some instances they do stack though ( Guardians of Empyrion, Blade spirits, Maelstrom from Wind Devils, Storm Totems, Mortar Traps). Mostly think of pets with their own ability.
