How hard is Mogdrogan on normal compared to ravager/calla and other difficulties?

Asking because I just managed to down mogdrogan on normal on my lvl 77 conjurer, first char, you can basically call it SSF ^^ …and I was about to go for ravager next, as soon as I got the rep farmed to get to him, as I really, really want that helmet. :smiley:

Ofc I tried him right away to see how hard he actually is, before preparing, and realised my pets died too fast to do any reasonable dps,
had a look at grimtools and figured the elemental res was key (mostly lightning, but also some cold from adds), so I went to farm devils crossing rep for rifthound salts, realising most cronleys mobs are far too low, and bounties were not feeling right, I found rutnick and just farmed him, got a nice helmet from him with ele-res and pet ele-res on the way…
Made some slight adjustments to my build for maxed storm spirit to get my pets and char some extra res.
Ofc forgot I had some good boots with res lying around, could have used literally anything else than lightning nova as attack on my char :laughing: and totally forgot about oils…
But the fight at lvl 77 (Mogdrogan being lvl 83) was quite ok, facetanked him through the whole fight with about 25k hp and peak 10k life/s until about at 10-15% some higher dmg spikes started to appear that made it necessary to step out for a second every once in a while.
I should have noted the timing so I can’t tell for sure but I think the fight took about 10 minutes.
Rarely a pet died, but never fast enough that its summon spell wasn’t off cd again already.

So with that (Mogdrogan) out of the way, the next questions are:

#1: how hard is ravager on normal compared to him? and which one is the best choice for a conjurer?

#2: same question for calla? (probably not too soon, but I’d still like to know)

#3: how high is the jump from normal to elite to ultimate for these 3?
am I going to need lvl 100 and really good gear to stand a chance, or is it not that hard?

…also appreciate any advise for ravager (normal) as my next target

also edit: idk why but grimtools is kinda off, just imported it but some things don’t match like it says peak 13k life regen whereas it is only 10k

GT always assumes max level for devotion skills, I guess your healing devo skills aren’t max level yet so in game the number will be lower. It should go up to 13k once all skills are maxxed out.

As for the superbosses, they will obviously get much harder on Elite and Ultimate, but I have no idea by how much. I only ever killed them on Ultimate and the last time I did was many years ago (saw no reason to continue after I farmed plenty of their drops) but I’m sure someone else can answer that question. Some players make builds for the purpose of killing supers so they might know the difference between difficulties.

ok thank you, so that’s where the difference comes from…

now I guess I’ll need to just try ravager to find out the answer to the other questions, though I still wonder which of the 3 choices would be better for a conjurer

You can look up their stats and loot on the Grim Dawn Monster Database.
Also you can find some guides on this forum and others that explain the differences between them, which should give you an idea which version to summon.

I know about grimtools,
as I wrote before I used that to determine how to fight mogdrogan,
but it’s easy to miss some details and I’m really unsure about the ravager version to choose
