Wow, I think I do about 1.5k with my warrior. Of course, I’m only level 32 but I didn’t realize how much it will grow!
Fire strike builds do absurd dps. My friend has 8.5k dps on normal, barehanded. Can imagine him punching the shit out of Loghorrean’s otherworldly arse.
I think he has around 14k @45lvl with a weapon.
Another friend plays 2handed melee primal strike druid, I think he had around 6.2k at 40-ish levels
My DEE Warlock has around 4.5k sheet dps and I see no ways to improve it. Manticore nerf and removal of %weapon damage, as well as slight vulnerability nerf had hit the build hard.
My Callidor Sorceror does around 6.8k dps atm, but that doesn’t counts devastation.
Generally buffs that give flat damage will skyrocket your sheet dps for attacks and skills that do high % of weapon damage. Demo dips twice into this, with firestrike and flametouched.
My biggest hitter is my ranged conjurer using primal strike at 27.5k (lvl 75), next would be the Blademaster and Battlemage, both at lvl 76 and both doing around 18k each. My level 85 conjurer pet build has 2085 sheet dps, but that doesn’t really count since I don’t do much other than run away from stuff and curse things.
my 85 pyromancer has over 70k in the character screen
83 Warlock…cold build. only at 4100 with buffs.
85 Commando just above 21k but thats just sheet dps 
They have absurd sheet dps, but it doesn’t necessarily translate into absurd clear speed. That number in the tooltip is a rough estimation, considering you normally have crits, procs from gear, devotion, resistance reduction and maybe also weapon pool skills, all not included in that number.
In b29 i had a 25k tooltip Savagery-Warder and a 2k tooltip BWC-build, both in sc. Guess, wich skill i’m currently rolling in hc. Lvl 71 and destroying stuff, my clearspeed is really good despite of the tiny tooltip, and it’s a super-safe skill to use. Sure, you need a singletarget-nuke to go with it, but there are plenty. I’m currently using grenado, wich crits for 15-20k atm (here you got a number :p) and it isn’t even maxed, but i might switch to devastation at some point, especially if i get a certain offhand:cool:.
2211, at level 85 - Druid.
Of course the vast majority of my DPS comes from storm totem and maelstrom - so I can actually kill a boss in about 40 secs.
S&B warder has 28k sheet dps with savagery stacks. Pyro sits at about 40k dps. Melee poison BM only has about 7k sheet dps but stacks about 50k poison dots per second.
