Lol… I made this character with the idea of dual wielding Soulthief… I thought I had at least one in my GD stash, but that was apparently a low level one.
I’m just farming at level 100 and still haven’t found one. Farmed Alkamos ring’s haha and just doing SR’s now…
Is there any way you would part with one? I’ve honestly never even played multiplayer with someone else so wouldn’t even know how to go about it but assume it isn’t difficult. Yet I also assume I probably don’t have much to trade for it that you would need. Maybe though… I just throw stuff in GD stash, heh.
Either way, thanks for giving me some hope. I now realize I probably shouldn’t make a character banking on getting some blue weapon drop unless I had them already, lol.
Thanks. I used to not but now that I have GD stash I just throw them in there unless I know I already have a couple, haha.
Edit: Honestly, after switching to having unlimited stash… I don’t know how anyone plays this game long-term without it. Tons of Mules like back in the Diablo days? Half the fun playing long-term seems to be making new characters every now and then and it’s really painful to do that with limited stash.
Haha. I just had to look and I have 3,000 items in my stash. Probably a lot of junk though.
Edit: Although, I’m fairly certain when I switched to a new computer… and activated my stash on this one, I somehow accidentally duplicated everything…
Well that I sure didn’t know, and that sucks. Sucks to have no idea about something like that… Oh well,I suppose I could just use it in main-hand. Still haven’t found one… but soon… sooooooon.
I just re-read this and realized I read it wrong. I first thought you meant it only procced on main-hand weapon hits… but you just meant it doesnt add off-hand damage as well.
Doesn’t the proc still seem really strong? Or am I just not thinking about something?
When it says 200% of main-hand damage… is that 200% of the actual weapons listed damage #, or 200% of your plain attack damage in the character sheet? Or either way might end up being the same end result I suppose, depending on how increases were added in. I dunno, lol.
I guess I never thought into that very deeply.
I just saw that a lot of weapons list proc damage of like 25% weapon damage, so it made the soul thief look like a really high damage proc, in that regard, and also no cooldown.
This is something I would like to know as well honestly I know that if You use for example fire strike as Your main auto attack its damage is added to soulthief proc so I tend to believe it may be fully modified
damage value but to be honest Im not sure.
And to Your point Yes I agree it is really good just not fully effective on DW (depends on how much You value that extra damage) was my point.
Just to add, there are Brawlers Gloves which do apply both weapons damage (200%) but it is single target has no lifesteal and has physical not elemental stats.
Im sorry I dont mean to discourage You from that weapon And wish You the best luck finding it.
5 normal soulthief and 7 mythical ones of my side. Those are mostly dropped in the campaign as I don’t play SR mutch, and I don’t play Crucible at all.
9716 items in my Item Assistant. It might be time for a little bedroom cleanup .
Today I have found my own Soultief and Im sorry It seems I was wrong with my statement as it applies BOTH weapons damage now and it is quite worth of try, It was a while ago I tried same strategy as You and It was as I mentioned, this maybe changed in the patch where Zolhans technique was changed this way too, and I overlooked it my bad sorry.
