How to change the loading screen image?

Title says it all, would like to change the loading screen picture, is there a way to do it? Especially with family around I’m not much of a fan of Busty McJugsington at every transition.

Thanks.

Have you figured out how to change it yet?

Lots of gore and dark stuff in the game, but a woman wearing a dress?? UNNACEPTABLE!!!

  1. Extract the game files with the xpac installed.
  2. Make a ‘source’ folder in the gdx1 “mod”
  3. Inside source/ui/loading make a 1920x1080p image file named “loadingackground01” with a .tga file extension.
  4. Create an asset of this file.
  5. Build the gdx1 “mod”
  6. Copy/paste the built files to <Installation directory>/gdx1

This should work. It might also screw up your game, but verifying your game files will fix that.

And someone is triggered!

Ah, damn, I saw your post too late, Ceno; I just posted a tut here: http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showpost.php?p=549287&postcount=1

But I’m using a different method, so I guess it’s ok?

She is clearly some Aether possessed witch of sorts, but is her outfit even available in game? I have played the game quite a few times, every time as a female pc, and I don’t remember ever wearing a dress, let alone a dress that shows some cleavage. The clothes are always gender neutral.

  1. how to extract? I have the game installed as full game (GoG) installed as a normal game.
  2. …“GOG Galaxy\Games\Grim Dawn\mods\source\ui\loading” like this, ok?
  3. .jpg convert to .tga right?
  4. how, can i make a .tga to a .asset ??
  5. how to “build”?
  6. ?

/edit. Ok I see another guy has a “better” option for this problem, I will try this.

I only get a split second to even get a glance at the loading screen before my character shows up. :expressionless: - wishes to oggle the picture -

I’ve made some custom loading backgrounds here, check it out
