I want to change fonts for chinese language localization, but there is no documentation for the font compiler tool. Am I supposed to pass a ttf file as argument? I tried several combinations but without success.
You can try use “Asset Manager” to compiler font.
1.In “Asset” tab import “Bitmap Font”
2.Modify the font style value to you want
3.Right click the fnt file and build it.
or
1.In “Sources” tab import the font file
2.Right click the font and select “Auto-Create Asset”
3.Select Asset Type “Bitmap Font” and modify the font style value to you want
4.Switch to “Assets” tab and you will find the fnt file
5.Right click the fnt file and build it.
Finally replace fnt in fonts.arc file, that’s all!
Becareful! Some font file dosen’t support,it would not correctly to create the fnt file.
<3<3<3 Diablo font coming?! <3<3<3
Sometimes fonts are ‘more copyrighted’ than images. Blizzard is also pretty… insane… regarding their intellectual property. They make HUGE claims against people, so I suggest finding or making a “free as in freedom” version of the font.
In Torchlight 2 it was at least never a problem. I don’t even know if this specific font is copyrighted by Blizzard. I think its not. Otherwise they would have protested already. I think we don’t need to care too much.
Just found this:
its downloadable for free <3<3<3
Are there any other methods for using scalable fonts?
Bitmap fonts are a bit jaggy.
