Why can’t I get more population growth? I am stymied at level 2 and 3. Happy villagers, plenty of food and extra housing but the game does not send any one… this is stupid and a waste. We need better control than this passive just wait around till the game decides to send adequate populations to grow. Every body is happy … any suggestions?
At some point a pop up window comes up sayin immigrants need a school to show up. Have you built one?
Try having 3 to 6 empty houses (12 - 24 spaces) and a relatively low number of extra labourers. I have been getting up to 7 babies every few months with the occational group of immigrants!

Hi, thanks for the tip. Yes, I build a school soon as I need. I keep the village happy,… but game does not send new villagers. I guess if I build a surplus of houses, I will get more villagers.

I can hit 1,000 pop in 35 years. Must have more than 6 months food, happiness high and all goods with 90%+. Housing needs to be 20% over current pop to obtain max births. So if you have 500 pop you need 600 housing slots.

And by “6 months food” people mean 6 months food in excess of the red wastage figure. So if you have e.g. 6 months of wastage coming up, you need 12 month’s of food stocked.
