How to get on an island?

I’ve seen a couple of screenshots with cities on an island, but how do you get on that island?
I’m just wondering how to get a city without the immunity against raids.

Does anyone has a large map seed with some island to start you’re city at or a peninsula? It’s easier to protect against raiders.

Map spawns you there at the start or you can scroll around the map and place your TC on one if you don’t spawn there and you have islands available. Your villagers will miraculously cross the water to join you there. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

So they swim or waterwalk?
Why won’t they do it to pick up the fish at the shore or pick up the herbs that are in the water?

That would be hilarious if the raiders still show up and then just glare at you from the shore. shakes fist angrily
