Epic Shoulders: Spaulders of Mogdrogen (Level 94)
Epic Helm: Ravager’s Gaze (Level 94)
Epic Heavy Helm: Callagadra’s Gaze (Level 94)
According to the monsterdb, all above armor can be only droped by lv92+ Mogdrogen and lv89+ Ravager/Callagadra in Normal/Veteran.
But when I try to farm them in Normal/Veteran, I can only find lv81 Mogdrogen and lv86 Ravager/Callagadra, even if my char is lv94+, (are their levels limited by the map?) so I can only get the lv65/75 epic armor.
Then I try to farm them in Elite/Ultimate, all they drops are legendary armor.
So how can I get these lv94 epic armor without cheat?
Good catch, they need to be at least level 92 and in normal difficulty to drop them, so there seems only 1 way to get legit drop. Crucible/SR and pray a lot
Well…considering my poor luck, that’s really sad news for me.
By the way, I like collecting, so I’ve spent huge time in collecting all the epic and legendary items, then I find there are several epic items whose drop rate is so low (obviously much lower than others) that I doubt whether I can get them in the game:
Epic Ring: Veilwarden Band (Level 30)
Epic Ring: Crimsonbriar Band (Level 30)
Epic Chest Armor: Mythical Darkflame Chestguard (Level 94)
Epic Caster Helm: Mythical Rotmender’s Hat (Level 94)
Epic Heavy Shoulders: Mythical Wraith Knight’s Pauldrons (Level 94)
All the other epic and legendary items I’ve got more than even ten.
Is there some kind of drop rate bug? Or it’s just all my poor luck’s fault again？
Definitely a good catch. Perhaps there’s a detail missing though so hopefully one of the grognards will chime in and offer some insight.
I’m not totally up on the breakdown for this kind of stuff but I’m guessing it’s just RNG. Especially when you are getting down to the last few items your collecting. And with the lower level stuff, like the level 30 stuff, I think if you’re out leveling these items with your character (10 levels or over) they probably don’t drop either so you’ve got a narrow window of when you can farm them? (Please someone correct me if I’m wrong on this last bit.)
You are right, if I want lv30 items, my char must have a near level. So I’ve uesd some cheat like GDStash to keep my char’s level between 20 to 40, farmed all the totems and Crucible/SR…I don’t count, maybe hundreds times, the two rings have never appeared even once.
I thought that elite Ravager will drop blue helm and not purple and only ultimate Ravager will drop purple helm. That is not true? I can farm elite Ravager for purple helms?
So I just killed him on elite with my Ele Mental build and he really droped the level 94 purple helm. On ultimate I wouldn’t have killed him. Now I can farm helms easily I just need one to to finish my very special build. I will post it tomorrow.
Yeah I don’t care about celestials but I want his helm I got the one I need, so for now I will forget him. It really made it so much easier on elite than ultimate.
But I would like to see him drop 94 level epic helm on normal. So just please Crate raise his level on normal to max as well. Otherwise that helm is unobtainable and that should not be so.
Yes, but they will be just removed from certain levels or for certain items. And that is good but this should be changed. And the same applies to Callagadra if this happens there as well.
