How to move resources from buildings

When you have a building that you want to destroy (such as a tapped out mine or an extra production building) but it has a bunch of resources stored inside it, how do you get the resources out before removing the building???

Is there a way to send a specific worker to a specific building to retrieve a specific resource and deliver it to another specific building? If not, there should be. Tropico has that option for their teamsters and it’s very handy.

well I just destroy it then the goods sit on the ground until workers pick them up and move them.

I tried that when I first started playing… I destroyed an old mine once and I expected the remaining ore to be left behind, but it wasn’t there. I haven’t tried it again since then. I’ll do a game-save and try again to see if maybe it’s working that way now.
