It’s not a minor fail. The gap is quite large.
For example, I can hardly reach 3k OA and barely reach 2k DA. My hp is also only 8k!! I wondered where I get it wrong…
My Guess is the 3 Green items he has, plus the addition of better rolls on the purples. 2 of the Greens are MI’s most likely with 2 rare affixes and the Boots probably also have 2 good rare affixes.
2 rare affixes??? Is such item even legit???
I have played this game for 3xx hours and never seem a legit dropped green item with rare prefix + suffix. In fact, I use this standard to identify cheaters in the Multi-player games I host.
Bulk crafting. It isn’t fun, but it works. I toss countless double rare greens when bulk crafting, looking for a specific combo.
https://gracefuldusk.appspot.com/items
Look on there for what rare prefixes/suffixes there are. Some combinations are pretty crazy, especially on MI items.
Of course they exist they are just not very common. Not saying some of the people you deemed cheaters didn’t cheat, but many people get good Double Rare greens to drop.
People also craft good Double Green rares, Also their are many good Rare/Magic affix combos also. Like for rings getting a Good rare prefix and of Attack suffix which is a Magic suffix.
Oh Bloodletters’s of Attack rings. Oh, you wanted 180ish OA? Here ya go.
The only “cheat” i use is to share LEGIT items(drops/crafts or traded for with trusted individuals) between all my chars via Sir Mamba stash program. So yes, I use “duped versions” of my same items, but these items don’t break any of this game rules.
I could have done the same thing, in a less convenient way, simply with the built-in shared stash. (unequip -> put in the stash -> equip on another char every single time i want to switch character)
I’m not on the defensive here, since i have nothing against cheaters, unless they’re doing their things in an online game.
I just want to let you all know that, while honestly I cannot call myself a purist anymore (once I used to be, HC self-found all the way, now I just don’t have the time required ), these items are however not hacked/edited in any manner, and even more, that this build don’t depend on these items at all.
If you don’t have the greens I"m using (it’s understandable, because only the pants required about 50 hours of mindless farming the same enemy), and you don’t want to trade also, simply use something else instead.
“Empowered Legplate of Valor” is just an example, and is also the perfect answer for someone like “Grind Until Dawn” that find difficult to reach my levels of OA/DA. This way you lose about 200-250 OA (you don’t need 3000 OA to be effective however) but your DA/Life would be better than mine, and the massive bleeding resistance would give you more freedom elsewere at the same time.
The legs are “Stonehide / Of Vitality” If you wear the pants above, you don’t need these also, and a pair of “Golemborn” would do better.
My shoulder (Stonehided) substantially give chaos resistance and life, aside the prefix stats. Crafting a “Stonehide Exalted Shoulderguard” it’s not so difficult, and maybe you’ll end getting some pretty suffix on the item also.
In this “guide” I have only listed what >I< consider BiS, that’s it, items that can give a huge boost to the whole build. You can/should disagree with my point of view and maybe have some better ideas. as my setup is absolutely not the best you could achieve, given a bit of luck and some creativity,
I repeat myself once more: there’s little sense in copying/pasting my exact char. If you want to do that, i’ll just send you guys my savefile.
What you mean “Bulk crafting”? Is the smith’s craft rare item thing?
I believe you are not cheating and I didn’t mean you cheat. I just have doubt about the “2 rare affixes” idea. Because I have never see such drop in over 300 game hours and have no idea how to “craft” it with legit in game mechanics. For example, is something like a ring with the prefix of “Bloodletter’s” and the suffix of “Butchery” could possibly be dropped by mob or crafted by smith??
I was not defending myself (I don’t care about this at all), but instead reassuring all the readers that this build don’t use any “hacked” items, since some of the comments above, if misunderstood, could have lead anyone to think otherwise.
I just love the game, and want others to enjoy and support it, and this build is just a way to do so.
Also i don’t get why some of you guys want to stick exactly to my words. I could have understand a similar behavior from an inexperienced player that’s about to start his first league in PoE. In that case, if you don’t follow a guide and stick to it, you’ll almost certainly begin to fall behind others in no time, and are pretty much excluded from any competitive aspect that game has to offer for the remaining of the event.
But in this game you are alone most of the time. There’s nobody to misure against. And there’s no intrinsic “economy” also (the trading threads cannot compete with this at all). The latter mean that, if you’re in bad luck/short of time, is pretty possible that you’ll never find some of the items i have suggested. And this is also the reason why i haven’t listed the greens, that are even harder to find. You’ll have to work with what you have.
In the end i only wanted to give the community a reference for something that is well know by most “veterans” here, and the proof that such build can be a blast to play with.
All of this doesn’t mean that i will refuse to give you guys my opinion about specific questions. Just remember that these are just >MY< opinions…
PS: Almost forgot: Bulk Crafting > “massive crafting session” (i think), where you craft the same items over and over, until you get what you want. Best done at higher levels, with specific artisans (depend on what you’re crafting), with a shitload of materials readily available, and with a good dose of patience.
EDIT> Just checked. Bloodletter/of Butchery is possible, and with the latest patches should be more easy to get such an item. (so a bit easier than “almost impossible”:p. No, jokes aside, i have some pretty crafted items, and this mechanic is very rewarding imho.)
How do you get 26/16 PB ? I can see that you use Benjahr ? exalted treads, and Dreeg-sect pants ?
You get +1 from amulet, +1 from offhand, +3 from chest, but thats all. 21 in total.
How ?
*I’m noob.
I believe he has a +5 BoM
You are correct, and I’m a fool because the guide don’t mention it. I will update the thing asap.
A +5 Badge of Mastery (medal) give you maximum freedom about other pieces of equipment.
A +2/+3 Badge of Mastery is still pretty good since you have only to equip the pauldrons that Moose (undead nemesis) drop every now and then. These come with some nice OA and pierce resist as well (plus the eventual affixes stats), so are by no means a secondary choice.
Without a BoM you can still reach 26/16, but you have to have to equip silly items and you will lose quite a bit of efficiency/survivability. At this point, it is better to stay with 5 blades, imo.
To sidetrack a bit…I have a feeling Warpfire will be nerfed…overcapped OFF can easily screen wipe in Ultimate with a well rolled Warpfire.
I bet it a super rare thing x(
May the RNG gods be with you…but seriously I gave up crafting a +5 BoM when I kept getting irrelevant bonuses like +5 to Occultist or Shaman skills.
If there’s no way to have 26/16, is it better to have it on 16/16 which is 5 projectile ?
You have to balance your offense with survivabilty. Unless you like running around like a headless chicken waiting for Mirror to come off cd everytime you fight a boss.
From experienced PB players’ posts, yes. The damage increase is negligible per point unless you get an additional blade, from what I’ve read.
Precisely my point of view. The 6th blade act as a total multiplier of your total damage (x1.2) and your chances to proc something, while, with the transmuter and an average setup, each point below 26 will net only a marginal increase in performance.
A +5 BoM is difficult to craft, but a +2/+3 one is not.
