How to use Blade Spirits most effectively?

I took a little break (real life issues) and recently changed my Trickster build and added Blade Spirits after the patch change. Funny to play but some questions occured:

a) Supercharging
As x1x1x1x2 explains in his Timbersaw Build, I could equip the mentioned two items, summon Blade Spirits, and re-equip my old items.

The Blade Spirits will use the Skill Points with first equip but will scale with the Damage Bonuses from the second, right?

b) Piloting
I´m not a Pet Build Player. Do I have to actively pilot the Blade Spirits with “Pet Attack” or will they attack the target(s) I chose to attack with my toon on their own? My bar is full of skills, “Pet Attack” wouldn´t fit in my current setup…

c) Player´s Damage Bonuses
Blade Spirits get the Damage Bonuses of proccs, too, right?

Thanks for any advice(s).

I don’t like superchargign, so i don’t know abaout a.

B. Blade spirit “pseudo” pets, so they not pets, but work like pets. Pseudo pets attack randomly.

C. Yes.

Example if u put blade spirit on the elemental storm u will see lot of. i always use too proc something since has duration and u will see a lot of that proc.

1: Unless things have changed you can indeed use items to boost the skill level of Blade Spirit to max, summon them, and then switch the items back while they retain a higher damage amount.

2: Pet Attack does work with Blade Spirit but for myself I don’t really use it since they deal a constant AoE damage and if you’re using Shadow Strike that can move your Blade Spirit along with you.

3: Devotion skill procs work with Blade Spirit and that’s it since they are player scaled summons.

Thank you.

Didn´t know of Supercharging till a few hours ago, don´t know if I will use it.

I bound Acid Spray to Blade Spirits, quite effective. But what I mean with proccs: When Mythical Gorefeast (https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/9277) proccs, Blade Spirits will get the 900 % Bleeding Damage, too?

U have to test it, but if this would be the case, everybody would use as a dmg dealer.

Okay, have to try. There are more proccs like that…Howl of Mogdrogen is another.

A propos Mogdrogen:
Which bonus do they get if HoM is up? Player´s Bonuses, Pet Bonuses, both (don´t think so)?

It seems to me not getting, but here is a post may be u can get some point.

Likewise, while IEE benefits the player and thus by extension any player-scaling pets, the pets themselves do not double dip into the auras. The visual effect is just the nature of auras applying their visuals to all nearby allies.

However, Player-scaling pets have their own health/defenses, so increasing your Poison Resist to help the Deathstalker survive is purely placebo. Those kind of pets already have about 90% resistance to all damage. What can wreck them is resist reduction effects. Most other player-scaling pets (such as Mortar Trap, Wind Devils and Thermite Mines) are invincible and generate no threat in combat.

Tested it. They get (imho) Pet Bonus. With Primal Bond, too.

With Gorefeast…well, tested it, too…hard to say because these weapon proccs don´t show on page 2 of the character screen. But don´t think so.
