I always liked SJ, wondering only how decent they are end-game.
I made a Purifier with SJ and Storm Box. It was good enough for all MC and Lokarr. It depends on what you consider to be “endgame”. If you mean crucible farmer and/or SR-75-able, I don’t know.
Light defender with Stormeweaver axe for storm totems/melee hybrid is one of the quickest builds around.Also is good for SJ,especially in campaign-one of the quickest Lokkar and Mad Queen killers.
On paper it looks like you could build a pretty safe caster-type character with decent dmg-output around Lights Defender set.
Im trying to build a Totem/Box- Vindicator right now. Box got a few buffs and some nice itemsupport during the last patches. I also found a nice enslaved wraith with phys res and some cc-res on it.
I will see how it goes.
Light’s defender SJ build is probably a bit broken, it’s that good.
One of the best sets in the game that supports a lot of playstyles: SJ/Stormbox, Totems/Stormbox, Savagery/Totems even SJ/Totems if you want to play Mementalist.
Sj/totems? Sj/Stormbox? I tried many different way stun jacks, but fankly it isn’t a good skill.
Strange lightning stun jacks is supposed to do good damage.
It kills Lokarr in under 10 seconds, that’s pretty much a record.
When your pet cabalist with Lost Souls and a screen full of pets cant down lokarr under 12 but some SJ kills it under 10. Feels bad man.
Really? This is good that can do mc and lokarr, but not good in SR. When was the measurment of the game changed? :rolleyes: Further more if SJ is that good how the earth i didn’t see any build? The last was back in 1.0.5.1 Tztz one.
That’s only a boss, but in Sr or Cruci pet cabalist way more better.
SJ/Totems is Elementalist so obviously not that good. SJ/Stormbox is Purifier and it is one of the highest single target dps builds in the game. Dude from our discourd cheesed his way to shard 103 in it. Surprisingly, it’s 6:30-7 minutes build in crucible with mediocre consistency.
With Purifier, you just stand in your seal, pop Storm Box and spam SJ. If all projectiles hit the target, it’s very good. But in crowded scenarios, SJ isn’t as good unfortunately.

The poor consistancy isn’t too surprising. No ADCtH so lowish sustain, but one of (if not the) best dps in the game.
I wonder, does cold-jacks perform similarly well?
Cold stun jacks,but what class?I tried Sabo with Harra set,but was too squishy and core stats were bad.Cold purifier though should be good,and it’s not that difficult to hardcap SJ.
LD is doing peachy. Set has solid overcaps on nerf resistance. It’s seen the rise and fall of a hundred oupie builds and yet always managed to avoid major nerfs itself. Totems+Savagery/PS has always been top-tier. Totems+Savagery+Box is ultra tier.
