Anybody gotten to try this out yet? I’m currently rolling a partial retaliation Battlemage with Cadence as a primary attack so I can still fight things that are trickier to counter/hit and run if I have to. I was initially going to hit the Obelisk of Menhir, but then I saw that the expansion added Vire and started to wonder if that might be better for me since it divides power between retaliation and physical a bit. I’m not sure if I can get both and also get to Tree of Life, which is my current goal in the Devotion tree.

Yeah, I used their Avenger build as inspiration, though with some clear changes since I’m working Cadence in.
I’ll keep on working towards Tree of Life and then work my way to Vire once that’s done. Another alternative I haven’t ruled out is using the Dryad for healing instead, which would possibly allow me to get both Vire and Obelisk with some messing around, but I’ll see how things go first. It’s my first character after all, so I’m mostly testing the waters and using other builds as loose guidelines. I’ve hardly respecced at all (still at 25 Iron for both skills and Devotions), so I’ve got plenty of flexibility right now if it doesn’t work the way I hope.
