This is a minor request, but since some items provide complete conversion to some skills, it would be nice to have their colour change to match the conversion. We already have Farath’s Cube doing that to Flames of Ignaffar and Acid Purge is technically just a recoloured FoI. Since the items I am talking about are just as rare as Farath’s Cube and affect only one skill, I don’t believe this change would be hard to implement in the near future.
Examples:
Bloodsworm Sigil (100% vitality to fire conversion) - I would love Doom Bolt to be fire red instead of the usual crimson. Maybe something like that fire pillar cast by Zarthuzellan could be used.
Conduit of Eldritch Whispers (100% chaos to acid) - again, I would love Doom Bolt to become green.
There are, of course, other examples but I believe these two are the easiest to implement.
As I said before on this topic, swapping out fx on skills is essentially a skill-by-skill basis. We have to incorporate support for fx-swapping in the engine each time we introduce it to a new skill type. To do it for every skill would be…a lot of work to say the least. Then there’s the fx work on top of that.
The secret boss’s spell effect is actually a really hacky spell I made years ago that turned out decent rather by accident. Mechanically Doombolt’s fx and that one are very different.
