Is anyone else having issues with their Hunter Lodges being in a “Haven’t found any game in a while!” state consistently? Each time I’ve upgraded my hunter cabin to a hunter lodge, it ends up producing less of every resource it produces. I wonder if it’s the addition of iron ingots into the mix of required materials, so that’s one more resource the hunter has to gather. I thought maybe there would be less meat but more pelts and tallow but it’s producing the same if not less of those two resources.
I’m going to try replacing some of my hunter lodges with hunter cabins to see if they end up producing more resources.
it’s because of traps. change their number of trap to zero. traps are bad
Yeah, I think you’re right. Which means there’s really no reason to upgrade the hunters cabin. I was hoping that upgrading would at least make it rain with hides and tallow but I didn’t see any improvement in production.
The traps makes the hunter go check the traps all the time thus lowering output. It would be nice if you could place the traps manually so you can actually have use for them (like protecting your crops).
Mind is doing the same. I have 12 deer right behind the cabin and It’s telling me there’s nothing to hunt. It’s making my food storage get super low! uggggh! I’m on year 38 and I’m trying not to loose my people again!
I found 2 traps work best. But I have it close to the hunting grounds.
If the feature of having traps is to remain, then it would be much better if the upgrading of the Hunter Cabin to the Hunter Lodge would allow for TWO inhabitants: one to check traps and the other to keep on hunting. For now, with just one hunter in the Lodge, I’ve turned traps completely off. Upgrading of the Fishing Shack and the Forager Hut to two inhabitants would also help. While one schleps goods from the Smokehouse or Root Cellar to town, the other can keep on fishing or gathering. I’m getting killed by the current way food items are taken to town . . . . as in, mainly they’re not very well right now.
