Noob here. I just want to know how to update my game without using steam, GOG or the likes?

Well, since Steam or GOG are the only ways to run a legit copy of the game I suggest you use those.

Do you have a non-legit copy? Then the solution is to buy the game… this is the OFFICIAL forum you know. The developers made this forum (along with the game) - are you really telling them and us here that you do run a non-legit copy of the game?

Well with such Question it’s hard to net prejudice. I find it quite ineteresting that such people have absolute no fear or shame. I mean remember the Situation of Game Dev Tycoon, where the Dev themself uploaded an pirated copy, but with the twist that at a certain Point your consumer start to pirate your games and you will lose because of that. You might think after such outing people would stop and try to hide, but nope backlash the Devs for it(while most regular buyers had something to laugh).
It wouldn’t even surprise to encounter some Folks who pirate Grim Dawn with the Reason of “Well - Path of Exile is for free… so this should also be free…” or other nonsense like that.
@Blackheart Well besides the most obviously thing that you don’t own a copy, with the small chance left they only what i can think of is that you own an copy on GoG and you were asking you don’t use GoG Galaxy, than you simply need to login in the gog website and download the patch for your copy.
Otherwise the only fix / help which you will get (from us atleast) is the advice to simply buying a copy.
