I like playing SSF, but in Grim Dawn it’s really annoying to do. You have to delete this, backup that, wrestle with Steam Cloud for a while… I wish there was a checkbox during character creation that just allowed me to have an SSF experience.
So I’m asking the devs to add this checkbox. From what I can tell, it shouldn’t be too difficult to do. Right now, each character has their own folder within the save folder. So you can just have each SSF character keep their blueprints in their own folder.
If you wanted to get fancy, you could have SSF characters write new blueprints they find to both the global formula file and their local formula file. But SSF characters would only read their local formula file. That way SSF characters could still contribute to account wide progression, while keeping the SSF experience intact.
