Should villagers take their Luxury items with them when they move? I had a family leave a house with a pottery item in the storage and move to a more desirable house but I had no pottery items in marketplace and so they had no luxury item. Is this intended behavior?

Last time I moved IRL, I abandoned a few ugly vases and the like too! (You should have seen this one teapot…)
