I have been interested since kickstarter, but also ignored game until now.

I knew from other ARPGs and from Titan Quest that I’d want to play this game, but I also knew I wouldn’t want to deal with an incomplete game, so I have avoided playing until only recently.

So, my first impression of the game is from a background of Titan Quest, Torchlight 2, Diablo II, Baldur’s Gate, Champions of Norrath, and Path of Exile.

But I haven’t played any Grim Dawn because I didn’t want to deal with only having pieces at a time.

And it seems like this is really great! I love the attention to detail, breakable environment, lore books, bridges that require resources that you have to collect, all of it. I felt horrible when

I was responsible for killing a madman when I had already found a dialogue path that let me walk away and when that small group of people held hostage by the gang were killed because I killed some of the gang holding them.

I’ve only gotten to the gang part, but it’s great. Hidden alcoves if you are paying attention, rotating camera, breaking chairs, just the right level-up speed.
