I Made a Thing

For the last three months, I’ve been working on a (very) short story on my own time. I’ve finally finished.

I do actually intend to write for a living. I’ve written roughly 700 pages (single spaced, 12pt font, 8.5x11inch margins) of content over the last 5 years and intend to publish my first novel as soon as possible (already written and given its finishing touches). This thing was more of an aside, to test my writing flavors in the waters of the world. Or perhaps that’s the other way around - am I testing the waters of my writings with the flavors of the world? Hmm…

Anyways, I finished writing this a few moments ago and decided to share it around the various places of the internet on which I exist. To combat redistribution of my work, I’ve not uploaded the entirety of the work to the internet; the last two sections are in my safe keeping. Maybe I’ll do something with them, maybe not…it may well be the case that I decide to send them out to public domain without concern, but that’s not an economic decision I’m making at 4 in the morning.

So, at last, here’s the link to the work. There’s no doubt going to be some grammatical issues in there; just finished writing it at 2 in the morning…not really conducive to perfect grammar.

Concept of the work? AI has a love affair with Information Security, and the ramifications therein on human society. Seem to be touchy subjects as of late, no?

I’d appreciate your thoughts on it, if you’d care to leave them. I hope you find the work at least interesting; preferably that as well as enjoyable.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge my inspiration for the work. Shoutout to Wargamesand Primer, two movies well above average human imagination.

Congrats on finishing a story! I’ll try to get to it at some point today. Sounds interesting, i love Primer. Never seen Wargames though, not a Matthew Broderick fan, haha
