So what happend is i joined some server wich was on the elite difficulty and I
automatically spawned in the starting FG location.
I’m having my 68~ lvl char have not started my playthorugh on the elite difficulty yet and i dont have my devil’s crossing portal opened.
Now on the elite difficulty i’m stuck in the starting FG location without way to escape
You could use GDStash to unlock the Devil’s Crossing Portal.
You can delete the map files and then restart the game, see if that helps

Wherever your characters are saved:
… > main > _CharacterName > levels_world001.map > Difficulty
You’ll see:
conversations.gdd
conversations.gdd.bak
map.dat
map.fow
map.fow.bak
quests.gdd
guests.gdd.bak
Delete all of the green files and you will start near Hangman Jarvis (the beginning).
Leave the red files alone and quests will be unaffected.
I had always thought that deleting just some of them without touching the others will mess things up.

Biopon made a batch file to ease the hassle of manually updating maps here.
Be warned that running the batch file after logging off with a new character can overwrite your explored maps…
(with a new, unexplored map)
…if you don’t swap to a character with an explored file before running the batchfile.
I’d imagine most people manually copy to avoid goofing up (or have a “backup maps” folder, which is what I do…).
