I am currently playing Phys / Pirece hybrid Cadence BM. I am satisfied with the attack, but the defense is not good. Do you have any advice?
Is it better to specialize in Pirece with other equipment such as SR set?
Well that’s what would be best but this idea of hybridization is neat and I’d love to see you go through with it. What’s the defensive problem tho? Looks like it would be good all around in cruci buffed/bannered at least. Is this for SR?
Yeah, my test environment may not have been good. I started with 100 without a buff / banner but died many times before reaching 150.
I want to clear SR75 / 170 in the end, but I’m not a skilled pilot and it seems to be difficult because it seems that there is not enough resist and health.
I’m almost 100% certain that what’s killing you is indeed your resists. Fire and aether seem especially bad.
Drop unknown soldier and get ulzaad’s decree and maybe crab (I’m a huge sucker for crab)
Get your fire + aether res up to at least 30% overcapped

@xOMOCHIx: Yeah, unknown soldier is good, but if you can’t survive you’re going to need to find some way to beef up.

Cool idea! How good is Targo’s Hammer proc? Haven’t tried it myself. I would try something like this I think: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/M2g9gDWZ. You’d give up the set bonus though, don’t know if it’s worth it. And it lacks some stun and slow res, so you would need to get craft bonuses to compensate. Physical res is also down a bit. On the other hand, resists are covered, weapon damage is up, armor rating is up, and you got some extra points to distribute.
Yesterday, I died in 149 starting from 100 with the above settings. (No buff / banner)
If it was a full buff, I would definitely have cleared it.
Targo’s Proc is interesting. The performance is neither good nor bad.
I thought it would be better to proc more often because these small physical dmgs are mitigated by enemy armor.
I think Callagadra’s helm is not a bad choice.
After all, unspecialized ABB and BA are not that good and will result in DPS loss, so it’s better to apply a lot of Cadence.
But BA DoT is ok, so I might reduce AQC and something and use 3p for BA.

I tried again without a buff / banner but broke through 150.
Although some resists were below 80, they were covered by positioning. I am satisfied now.

BTW, blade spirit attack interval is 2sec, I am not sure if it’s a good idea to bind assassin’s mark there. I think you should bind that important RR to cadence instead.
I think your settings are better. Furthermore, I think SR Set and Belgothian set are better. After all, hybrids are halfway. It’s not bad, but it’s better to specialize in either.
If Targo has a chance to outnumber them, I think it’s a Phys DoT, but because the Phys resist is insufficient, the risk of death from reflexes seems high.

Personally, BA (3p) is not as bad as ABB. The rate at which the enemy’s health is reduced after the BA hits is clearly faster. Because of the high attack speed, DPS loss doesn’t bother you.
However, theoretically speaking, the WPS efficiency will probably deteriorate as you fight longer, so I think it is not good. However, I’m not good at calculations, so I don’t know the exact place.
also I’m a little scared to lose WC completely.
