Got my newly rolled character into FoA and have been using Leap for mobility, which in the Icebound Passage notably blows up some ice features around the cave and they fall to the ground. I did this in a particular place in the cave and then died afterward, and on my run back found I could not cross the debris or use Leap to get by it.
Screenshots:
This first image shows the icicles blocking me.
This second image shows where I am in the first Icebound Passage zone and notably that there is no way to otherwise go around at this point.
This third image should show me on an attempt to reproduce the bug but without a truly impassable result.
This fourth image is to show the small gap on the right that my character and her blade spirits are obscuring. Note that the icicle pattern does not match the first image.
The initial behavior is that when you first knock them down you can walk all over them. When you leave the zone and come back (from dying in my first case and porting to the conveniently-just-outside portal after clearing the first zone in my second case), the icicles become impassable upon reentry. Notably, though, the physics of the destructible environment are not always the same. In my attempt to reproduce the bug, A sliver of room remained on the far right that I was not given on the first attempt. This lets me walk through on that side as well as makes Leap function, since Leap seems to work based on seeking a path first (explaining how it can cleanly enter rooms with corners).
I don’t have clipping enabled on this machine but I might try to reproduce it again later with a video.
EDIT: I can reproduce it in the next passage at a chokepoint but it has an alternate way around so it wouldn’t stop someone from progressing (though it would frustrate).
Here’s the spot on the map.
Here’s the icicles blocking the path. Again my character’s walk or Leap are both stopped before being able to make it through after I ported out and back in.
