Idea: add all resist buff to one of the Crucible buffs

Now that the new waves have been out for a while, I’m sure balance tweaks are in the works and this is one suggestion I’d like to make.

A major reason why the new Crucible is so hard is because of all the RR debuffs that lower your resists by 30 or 40 which means if you get hit by a damage type you’re not overcapped for, you take spike damage that often results in instant death.

For many builds it’s not possible to overcap everything by 40+ and still have a functioning build even if you farm a hundred hours because the items suited for the type don’t give the right resists among other reasons.

My suggestion is to add a relatively small all resist buff to one of the defensive buffs, say 10 or 15% to all 9 resists in the main character tab, and perhaps 5% to physical resist.
This would give builds that don’t use like 4 top tier MIs or class combos that naturally don’t give many resists a breather so they can focus on other stats such as DA or damage to beat the new Crucible.

I think this idea is simpler than manually adjusting all enemies that have an RR debuff, and those that already have top tier items won’t really benefit from it since they are mostly already overcapped.
Or the truly hardcore players can simply choose not to use it and play without buffs.

Thoughts?

Aren’t there 10 primary res ? And 8 if u count light, fire and cold as elem ?

^whoops, right.
Brainfart and thought there were 2 rows of 4 but it’s 2 rows of 5 so 9 excluding stun resist.

We need to add Physical Resist to that list? /s

On a serious note, it’s a good suggestion. Really helpful for those who lack MIs. Currently you need to farm the crucible for MIs with MIs  (yeah, yeah I know not every build is gear dependent)

I think a better plan is to reduce the -RR mobs do. Anasteria can debuff you by over 60 points to all resists. That’s absurd and she’s not the only person with large debuffs.

And it isn’t the new waves that add to the debuffs, they just take advantage of you more when you are debuffed. I think the game should be balanced around not needing that buff. That or I think it is balanced the way they wanted it.

I think the buff is the better way to go since it’s much less work and then for purists who don’t want the Crucible made too easy they can choose not to use it.
And having it as a Crucible-only buff means it’s contained in that mode and wouldn’t skew fights in the campaign as an unwanted side-effect.
