If this game was P2P

Hey guys, how do you think, how much it would have to cost per month if we wants this game to have dedicated servers and such?

Would you support such an idea? I Deffinetly would.

Far too complex a question, and no, I wouldn’t support it.

Why not?

From my point of view, after playing over 500 h, game is still fun playing it solo, but multiplayer is far more superior, open possibilities that couldn’t be reached as single player, lost of new varieties, fresh feeling of battle since they are really harder.

Sadly its quite hard to get proper game going, adjusted to your level and story line requirments…

I would absolutely not pay a monthly fee ever, there is little else that would drive me from the game than that. I wouldn’t even find that acceptable in D3 or PoE!

No idea how much servers would cost, but you would first need to change the code I presume (which is neither cheap nor easy, not even for Crate who have the sources…), otherwise you can just host for 4 players on your PC

I would not be interested however, I will never pay a monthly fee for any game, esp not so I have to play it online (as opposed to ‘renting’ an SP game I then do not need to buy). I much rather play SP anyway…

The game isn’t set up to need a monthly subscription. The current method of playing multpllayer seems to work fine. I don’t see how it could gain a subscription service without making wholesale changes to the game.

I’m not a multiplayer so no, I wouldn’t pay for dedicated servers. It just doesn’t interest me.

I would never support such idea. I want to be able to play the game even if my internet crashes. That’s way more important than this fake competition you want

This game doesn’t fit a P2P model in any shape or form. Why would you want to pay a monthly sub for a game that can be digested from start to finish within a few hours. What is being online with hosted servers going to add to that?

There are games with far more to them in terms of systems and content also with vastly higher degrees of polish and refinement (see D3, PoE, etc) that are not P2P and offer regular content updates and servers. The reason that this game is not built that way is that it was not intended to be ‘that game’. If you are looking for ‘that game’ there are a number of very good games that fill that niche that you have lucked out on and don’t even have to pay the monthly fee that you seem so ready to hand over. If you are determined to pay someone a monthly fee there is even the sub-par Devilian for which you can purchase Patron status.

I was actually alpha tester in devilian and my honest recommendation is to stay away from that game. It was a great game before trion monetised it and did a lot of horrible changes. The only decent thing they added was non devilian form pvp, but it doesn’t balance the screw ups they made

It’d be the final nail in the coffin.

Am I the only person that only needed to look at the intro video on Devilian’s Steam page (quite some months ago) and say, God that looks like ass. Peter Griffin ass.

Looked like a 1 year old drew it.

Unless I’m thinking of a different one. Don’t think so tho.

I don’t know. Personally I enjoyed it and even thought about buying that expensive founders pack before trion tampered with the game

I’d pay $9.95 per month
but only if they added Paragon Levels

Go away. Your ideas are stupid.

No really, stop. This isnt a MMO or anything of the sort.

Lel.

No.

Just… no.

I sold my PS4 because I will not pay to play online.

And I refused to use the system with obviously technically superior versions of multi-platform games last gen (the 360), due to it.

P2P is for suckers.

Give me worthwhile expansions, however, and I’ll upgrade.

Give me Fallout 4 style upgrades, and color me vanilla.

I have faith that Crate will toss a few strawberries into the mix; maybe even a bit of cocoa.

Rmah and cash shop only items along with p2p mmm!!! now thats a better recipe for disaster

Because if I wanted a mmorpg like Path of Exile, I’d play Path of Exile.
This game NEEDS mods and tweaking with savegames, just as much as TQ:IT does.
