I love how toned-down the “I’m out of energy” messages are in Grim Dawn compared to other ARPGs, both in volume and frequency.
That being said, I encountered a build where even the small amount of voice hints are becoming quite unnerving:
Arcanist Mastery
- One-handed gun
- LMB: Panetti’s Replicating Missile
- Iskandra’s Elemental Exchange active
That combination lets me keep LMB pressed down attacking with Panetti as a default. When out of energy, the attack switches naturally to the gun which causes Iskandra to fill up the energy again so it switches back to Panetti.
This toggles back and forth beautifully, except that I have to listen to the “out of energy” voice every minute or so. What I don’t like about it in particular is that the message is meant as a reminder that something is amiss. However in the case detailed above, everything is alright and working as intended.
So, my request would be either to
- have a switch in the options to turn energy reminders off / regulate frequency / have them as text only
or
- Disable them on LMB skills altogether assuming that the player knows that the skill will revert to standard attack when out of energy.
