IMO, 'Kaisan, the Eldritch Scion' nemesis boss needs a damage buff when compared to 'Father Kymon'

But you know he will leap first thing he sees you. It’s really easy to step back from

his burn in general is pretty potent though

I know where this is going. Kaisan will be untouched knowing Crate and Father Kymon will be nerfed to death. Rip father figure, Korvaak will be more disappointed in his avatar in fact more than ever:undecided:

They are both out of shape and Korvaak is all celestial fiber.

I think they will stay the same

Im still salty at Crate for giving us a " damage goods celestial" as final end boss and with very very low hp pool at that :undecided:

in fact if we recall all of gd campaign end bosses are not enemies our MC deserves to fight. cause at this point the taken has already obtained great power by praying to the stars. Sadly enemies are not keeping up to the MC

so Starting from log who is weakened version of himself not the primary boss of Chthonians. Then we have marcell who is just a supervisor and not the actual boss of the Aetherials . Then korvaak who we know is another manifestation
of his true self. Superbosses aside, when do we actually get to fight an enemy in full power state, not an avatar and not a second fiddle or something:(

At least we have nemesis bosses who are decently challenging but some of them like kaisan could use a buff;)

Here’s a YouTube video of me killing him.

the problem with kaisan is he is situated and made available in the last dlc and being the only nemesis in forgotten gods people would think he is top tier. And he should be, sadly he is not :stuck_out_tongue:

my ultimate suggestion is to leave kaisan in his sorry state and add a new beast nemesis as suggested by Chthon. This beast nemesis can fill a huge gap in such a massive area and can help give joy to the unchallenged ones in us:p

Forcewave builds, or aoe builds in general, are the most well-equipped builds to deal with Kaisan since you can kill the crystals withouta sweat. Look at your video, your hp only drops during the short moment the crystals are alive. That’s where most of Kaisan’s damage comes from. He couldn’t cast doom bolt cause you’re at melee range so other than crystals he has no damage. If you were a melee build without aoe you’ll have to pick the crystals specifically since it could kill you if you leave them alone.

And it looks like your build was fully geared. No full gear build with at least a half-decent concept should die to a campaign nemesis

  1. It took you 27 secs to skill him. Doesn’t seem like too fast to me
  2. You used a relatively tanky build yet BS kinda saved your bum at the end and thankfully you had enough DPS to kill him while BS lasted since you got burst again after BS expired and kaisan was actually dead.

I see no problem here with regards to his strength given that you have end game gear

Why don’t you make a mod for it if you want to fight even bigger statsticks? I heard there is a boss rebalance mod for larger challenges starting with reanimator. Maybe you could do some input there.

Agreed. I don’t see a problem at all.

But that build was never intended to be tanky. It just so happened to turn out that way a little. I have a tanky 2h warder build that is MUCH tankier than what you saw there. I just prefer dps now over slower kills. He has high fire resist btw. 83% while other resists are around 63% 27 seconds on him is good and relatively fast for a boss that has extremely high resistances, but of course not world record time probably. The video wasn’t intended to speed kill him as I’ve never said it was a speed kill. But it is relatively fast when you weigh in all his stats. I don’t even use pot buffs unlike some peps. It’s all about timing your skills and a small bit of luck actually. If you care so much, check out my other video of killing Reaper of the Lost in 16 seconds. I can actually do it in 15 seconds now because of some better pieces of gear I’ve acquired. Some enemies have higher fire resist than others, as can be said for all other dmg resist based on your build. That’s where kill time comes in. Peace.

But please test out father Kymon and Kaisan for yourselves…

I take it all your testing was done in main game. In that case one could actually agree that Kaisan could use a buff. He doesn’t pose much threat there. He only shows his true power in Shattered Realm where with a little bit of scaling he turns into one of the biggest threats for many builds.

However, I don’t really understand how Father Kymon could pose any threat to you in main game. In the campaign you fight him solo. He’s no threat then. Kymon’s power lies in his debuff aura. These debuffs aren’t particularly strong but they’re stackable. Only when accompanied by other enemies his -20% elemental rr can be dangerous. His other strength is his jump with massive da reduction (that stacks with the one from his aura). If you can’t tank him after his leap, especially when he adds his armor shredding puke, then kite for 5s and then attack and stay with him so that he doesn’t leap again.

Kaisan is the only, I mean ONLY boss that I fear in SR after 70 apart from nasty combinations. But solo wise, this MF has even made me ragequit SR some times.

Oh, he’s a bitch in Shattered Realm for sure because of all the enemies buffing him up etc.:rolleyes: But now I’m making a paladin build. He is probably easier with the Oathkeeper class so when I reach 94 and put my end game gear on and tune it, I’ll post another one of my fights against him with that build. I have a feeling he’d be easier.

Almost everyone here doesn’t believe me when I say that Father Kymon is just as hard of a battle as Kaisan the eldritch scion is… I’m telling you guys… test it out for yourselves.:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Imo, Father Kymon is stronger than Kaisan. Father Kymon can actually shred my characters to under 40% HP, while Kaisan usually shreds me up to 60%. That’s on most of the builds I used on him.

Either Father Kymon needs to be solidly nerfed, or Kaisan solidly buffed. But I think Kaisan just needs a hug.

i have 1 billion different chars, except vit builds and pets and i never had major issues vs this guy.

he is strong, cool and all around awesome design to me.

his dmg and tankiness are also well balanced to me, i wouldnt buff or nerf this guy.
