Improving my Bleeding Trickster (Suggestion, Help, Answers etc. appreciated)

@ kidpid:
This is a nice build but I wouldn´t be mine.

  1. I really use Grasping Vines. Bound Rend to it and I use it for trash mobs and bosses alike.
  2. I can´t change the relic because I don´t have the items to compensate the loss of Lightning Resistance.
  3. See 2. If I change all my devotions to this I will have to use new items to get the capped resistances.

@ korsar:
Butcher of Burrwitch:
Again: Loss of Crit and Attack Speed. Is it worth it?

Empowered Brawler´s Gloves are nice, I have some on my bank. But: A change would be a loss of 15(25) % Attack Speed. Is this useful?

I think I have to try some of this suggestions. Thank you.

Only item swap is Voidsteel Gauntlets. Not exactly an expensive item swap. http://www.grimtools.com/calc/b28BbKZj

You´re right. Voidsteel for Poison Resistance?

Have already changed a bit. Took Empowered Gorefeast and Light´s Defenders Gauntlets, could change a few components and changed Devotions (Only 1 Point Scales of Ulcama, Complete Hawk, 1 Point Lion): http://www.grimtools.com/calc/lV70bvZQ

It’s for poison and chaos resist. The extra chaos resist allows you to swap some of the aether/chaos augments to aether/lightning augments so you can swap relics. Not using Mogdrogden the Wolf is a pretty big DPS loss. My changes will give you a sizable DPS increase.

I know. I would like to take Mogdrogen´s Wolf but to level Howl from 1 to 10 with only a few Quests left would be hard.

I will save your build. If I need a change in Devotion/Gear, I will try it. Thank you.

For DoT build you don’t need attack speed so much, unlike of flat damage, because new hits just upgrade duration, not deal damage. I’m not sure would Butcher be better or not, just suggest you to try and compare.

I did, thank you for the advice.

Empowered Gorefeast was the better choice and my DoT-Ticks do a lot more damage as before. Changed quite a few things, I will see if I can clear the content with this build.

@ kidpid:
I puzzled this night about your Setup. I can´t take it because I chose Kymon´s Chosen and can´t get Spellward Powder.

So I took a slightly different approach with Modrogen´s Wolf and my gear an will try this this afternoon: http://www.grimtools.com/calc/4VxrjlN5

I hope the loss of Dryad´s Blessing wouldn´t be so hard.

Edit: You have to swap weapons in Grimtools. Don´t know why it always show spare set of weapons. When going to the Rogue Dungeons, I will replace Dread Skull with Aether Soul/Black Tallow (one or both for Damage Reduce?) and one Bloody Whetstone (for more Damage against Aetherials/Cthonics?).

I have made this Trickster quite a while ago on an attempt to push it as far as possible and Kill Fabius before his first Blade barrier, which it did.

I had hidden the video because I didn’t want ppl to think bleed trickester is overpowered (which he isn’t atm):

With the xpack coming it doesn’t matter now

First of all SS %wp damage and Savagery+ execution are in conflict. They don’t stack. Get the points out of SS. Savagery+ Exectuion will deal way more than SS.

Max Shaman mastery and MAx Storm Pact. %Crit damage is king where DoT damage is concerned. Notice the 500K tick at s 18:00 sec.

Get manticore.

My build was a nit squishy but it’s fine. Was looking to maximize damage and kill before being killed.

Okay, thanks…but what is SS? Shadow Strike?

Sorry, Noob question…and I have only 1 Point in Shadow Strike…

Yes np, SS is shadow strike:)

Edit: I as looking at your first grimm tool. Aslo idk if anyone mentioned. Don’t ise Belgothian Shears with this build. Animation is slow and %weapon damage is low and as i mentioned, doesn’t really stack with anying else. Amarasta Quick cut is also useless for this build. Whirling Death for AoE and Execution for single target is all you need

Fluff, did you tested Warder and Conjurer?? I think Trickster is a weakest bleeding build, so it should be 9-10 sec for Fabius?? o_O

@ Superfluff:
I´m just testing this build: http://www.grimtools.com/calc/YVWwwLVJ

Howl of Modrogen is only Level 2 at the moment but Fabius was “okay”.
I´m a little bit worried about Energymanagement. If I cast Devouring Swarm and Entangling Vines regularly it could be an issue.

And I miss my Dryad´s Blessing 100 % Uptime…

Actually, Single target is Trickster was pretty strong (350-500K Dot (500 vs humans)).

But he lacks the reliablity of a Blade Arc build that will stfu an entire mob in front of him.

2h Wader actually had kinda similar results vs Fabius. It was less damage ~350-maybe 400k. But It’s instant because of BA. You don’t need a build-up like trickster where you need to hope for a good crit with Savagery+execution proc.

So overall Warder will allways be easier to play.

I made a bloody pox+Swarm bleed conjurer. Amazing vs mobs but vs single target damage is weak.

Here she is for reference, crucible setup (Switch weapons, I forgot about that, this is an old backed up save):

@Rhythar: I never found a use for Dryad in this build. As for Energy, Get an Arcane Spark . You also need it for the OA which is kinda low. You should have at least ~2650 with tehnacity of the boar up.

I also notice you use eye of the strum now. For Attack speed? If it’s for the reduced energy cost just get arcane spark and put back slaughter. That flat bleed proc on it is strong

Dryad was nice with nearly constant healing. It helped me a lot of times, when I made mistakes like hitting reflective mobs e g.

Any advice how to get more OA? I can push Tenacity a little bit but 2650…I don´t know how.

Eye of the Storm:
I use it for Attack Speed, Energy Cost Reduce, +1 Shaman and Resistance. I have no items (and the wrong allies with Kymon´s Chosen) to compensate the loss of the Resistance.

OA is bitch with tricksters. You’d have to wear a good pair of Dreeg Pants and move your resistances around.

I also had Iceskron Talons which mens more OA and % crit damage but that is also very hard on resists.

I’d start with the pants because it’s easier (if you have them)

Dreeg-Sect Guardian doesn´t like me at all. If (and it´s a really big IF) it drops a pair of trousers then the best I can hope for is to get about 1000 Coins from any merchant.

Short:
I don´t have any Dreeg-Legguards. :undecided:

Arcane Spark or maybe Ectoplasm? Because, when I will try BoC and Port Valbury, I want to change minimum 1 Dread Skull for Black Tallow/ Aether Soul. With Arcane Spark I would be less flexible and Corpse Dust (Ring) would be easier to live without.

Edit:
Question:
Do I really need so much OA when Howl of Mogdrogen (Procc with reduce Enemy DA) is up?

I have max 563k crit on my Warder and 12 sec Fabius kill. This is with Oleron’s rage instead of Stormcaller pact, have to test another setup with second one.
Ok, so I’ve understood what’s the key in each case and why nearly same results:

  • Around 500% WD Savagery+Execution for Trickster
  • Blade arc for Warder
  • CoF for Conjurer

Haha that is one lucky crit. Warders also strugle with OA a bit so that’s good.

“Do I really need so much OA when Howl of Mogdrogen (Procc with reduce Enemy DA) is up?” Yes OA has great returns up until around 3K. At 2650 + Mog you should do ok

Crits are always luck )
Thanks MI I have 3170 OA with Savagery up and 600 extra from procs.
