So you know how THQ Nordic added voice chat for multiplayer in Titan Quest Anniversary Edition? Perhaps maybe you guys could do the same thing? It would be really helpful to talk to your party mates as you go through some hectic adventures, especially in crucible.
It would certainly be a lot more convenient, but you can always use steam or if you have the non drm version, skype.
You can just use Discord, pretty much. Or skype/steam, like weirdwizzard said. Personally I donât see the appeal of having it built into the game. Itâs unnecessary with so many third party apps that do it perfectly.
Except with 3rd party programs, you have to KNOW who youâre playing with. What if itâs just some random person you found in one of the multiplayer lobbies?
You donât have to know them, you could be part of the Grim Dawn discord server where we have 200+ people, complete with itâs own âsearching for playersâ channel, to help you find a friend.

Take a look for yourself, itâs awesome. Good people here.
Still, Iâd much rather my game didnât become bloated with software I had no intention of ever using, I think many other people could sympathize with that. PoE and D3, both popular ARPGs with way more active online communities than GD, neither one of these games has built-in voice chat. Not that those two games are a good reason to do or not do something, just saying. The two biggest names in the ARPG industry, neither one has even bothered with this feature. I think battle.net might have recently gotten voice chat, so mayyybe d3 itâs possible, but not ingame. Youâd have to use their own tool.
Still, itâs not too much to trouble when youâre ingame to ask, âHey, do you have steam/skype/discord? Lets voice chat!â. Itâs easier than waiting forever for a feature to be implemented
