Increasing the firing of Phoenix Fire proc

I’m a level 42 Oathkeeper and I’m using Righteous Fervor with Phoenix bound to it. I also use Vire’s Might with Flame Torrent bound. And I use Smight and Shattering Smash to go with RV auto attacking. I also have a few points in the Judgement line and several points in Aegis of Menhir and Avenger mod to that; I like the Captain America doink doink of that skill.

My question is how to get Phoenix to proc more? It doesn’t seem to very often. It procs on critical hits. I do have the whole Panther constellation.

Any ideas going forward to proc Phoenix more?

Get more offensive ability, some defensive ability reduction on monsters and cooldown reduction (so that you get better uptime on your skills, they also affect devotions)

So if you have panther or not, is irrelevant here.

Just looking at Oathkeeper skills it looks like Presence of Virtue gives OA but also IT and bleed which is not what I am building to. Clarity of Purpose gives %OA but is not always active. Still that looks like my best choice just in Oathkeeper skills. I will also look for items with OA. And constellations.

For cooldown if I keep Phoenix bound to Righteous Fervor seems I should increase attack speed since no cooldown for an auto attack. But I could bind it to something else just no reason to because whatever it is bound to gets 100% chance to proc provided on a critical hit. I don’t see any of my skills like Vire’s Might or Menhir’s Aegis giving a bonus to OA?

For DA shred I don’t see in the Oathkeeper tree but I will keep it in mind for my later choice of second mastery

You could bind it to something with an AoE, like Judgement. This would increase the proc chance in groups - but not vs single target. (Assuming you have enough OA to crit.)

For example, if you have 10% crit chance and you strike 5 mobs, then the odds are:
1-.0.9*power(5) x100% ~ 40% to crit one of the 5.

Vs single target your options are either +%crit chance or more applicatons/sec-such as EoR applies many times per second or RF faster attack speed. Or a skill like canister that may overlap a single target - which OK does not have (2xGuardian is sort of an overlap).

In the end it is a decision of what procs take priority for these skills, though.

You want OA, then you get it even if you also get IT and bleed.

Judgment’s first modifier has DA shred.

Thanks

@malawiglenn I didn’t notice the DA shred on judgement. thanks!

@hammyhamster1 I didn’t know there were multiple checks for crit on AoE. That’s good information. I guess it makes sense since each enemy has their own DA. I just figured it would either crit all or none. Thanks.

@hammyhamster1: Now I have Eldritch Fire from the constellation Solael’s Witchfire. It has a 39% chance to proc when bound to Aegis of Menhir. Do I get that chance for each enemy Aegis of Menhir hits? Or just per execution of the combat art?

You should get that chance for each enemy hit. Eldritch fire has no cd, so it could possibly apply to each enemy hit, if lucky.

The proc is always around you, will be hard to test.
