Hello,
I have never played a nightblade and I want to try one now. However, from what I understand, they tend to be a bit squishy depending on the second mastery.
I am hesitating between the infiltrator and the dervish. Could you guys give me some pointers please? I am not a fan of the crucible but I may play some SR.

Depends on your playstyle. What kind of character do you want to use? 
I would like to fight at melee range and not die every time a monster looks at me. Other than that I am open to suggestions!
I never played the inquisitor and the oath keeper either so I do not know which build to pick.
Okay, do you have a decent amount of items in your stash? Or do you need a beginner’s build?
I have many pieces of sets in my stash and a death knight to farm the missing pieces.
Overall infiltrators are better in my experience but not by far. But in the end it comes down to which color you like better: green or blue.
Infiltrator BiS gear is extremely hard to get. But they’re tankier and more straightforward. Dmg-wise, however, the new Venomblade dervish might be slightly ahead of the Deathmarked infiltrator. These two are like flagship melee builds for those classes with the dervish being a bit of a hybrid.

Im starting out with Oathkeeper ATM and cant make my mind up between Soldier or Nightblade myself. Im not really sure which one would serve me better with nothing to work with.
When you have no items, 100% soldier

Last time i played was Soldier+Nightblade which was fun. Have not played since vanilla though. They changed around quite a bit since last i played.
Ooh, Spanks, I see you missed out on the melee Cold War era big time. With all due respect for the all time classics, comparing Belgo to the masters of cold these days, even after the nerfs to their favorite toy (N&O), is like comparing Royce to Ferrari on a F1 racing tour.
BTW I dare say dw domination is over. I’m superhyped and posting a proof shortly. Stay tuned.
