Found an infinite iron mine and got super excited… then build a road system all the way down to it and now it tells me that it is empty. am I missing something of is this a bug?
Welcome to the forum. 
No, it’s not a bug. If you click on the F4 key you’ll see the amounts of your mines/pits/etc and all your deep ones will show as 00/00. Being infinite there’s no other display figure to show, but your miners are gathering ore without any problems.
