Inquisitor/Necromancer class names missing in Japanese - v1.3

When the game language is set to Japanese, the Inquisitor and Necromancer class names/descriptions are missing.

  • standalone class names show as “?”
  • dual-class names appear blank

Other related text such as “+1 to all Inquisitor Skills” displays correctly.

This issue does not occur in v1.2.1.6.

I understand localization updates are usually handled toward the end of development, but since these class names appear correctly in other languages, I figured I should report it just in case.

Additional information.

Characters who selected the “?” class will still show “?” in the main menu after starting the game, suggesting that the information in \Text_JA\aom\tagsgdx1_skills.txt is not being loaded at startup.

Actually, a similar problem has been occurring with translation files within mods since version 1.2. Translation files located outside the \Grim Dawn\resources folder seem to no longer read tagsgdx1_skills.txt and tagsgdx2_skills.txt located in subfolders (aom, fg). For mods and customized translation files (such as rainbow files), we have addressed this by moving these files to the top level, but similar problems may still be occurring.(However, it’s strange that this problem only occurs in Japanese.)

This happens when the localization archives become corrupted during the build process. It can happen inconsistently across languages.

We will rebuild the archives for the next build.

Thanks for the file.
You added the class name to Tags_ui.txt, right?

Similarly, there are rainbow files created by the community and temporary patch files that add missing text for playtest. If using these, this issue can be avoided, so it is not urgent and will be fine as long as it is fixed before the official release. :yum:
