Inquisitor/Necromancer Class Names

Just in case anyone hasn’t been reading the Dev Stream thread or seen the stream from last night, we now have full confirmation of all the class names for the 2 new masteries.

Inquisitor
Shaman - Vindicator
Arcanist - Mage Hunter
Nightblade - Infiltrator
Occultist - Deceiver
Demolitionist - Purifier
Soldier - Tactician
Necromancer - Apostate

Necromancer
Shaman - Ritualist
Arcanist - Spellbinder
Nighblade - Reaper
Occultist - Cabalist
Demolitionist - Defiler
Soldier - Death Knight
Inquisitor - Apostate

No! We already have 10 TQ class names in GD. Let’s be more inventive shall we?

Some good names in there - I even quite like Tactician, which I’m well aware isn’t the most popular opinion.

I think Tactician is a fine name… certainly better than any of its synonyms.

Legate would have been awesome, mainly because of Legate Lanius from Fallout New Vegas. I’m fine with Tactician though.

Necromancer got the better names and it’s a shame because it’s a mastery i’m not touching.

Sure, I could run PR for Inquisitor Creed. Must be the new unannounced game mode, building off the Bounty system. Now we know what the extended dev time was really for.

Occultist/Necromancer sounds weird though, Cabalist ?
Maybe it’s because English is not my native language.

I also think the new UI looks really good. I always appreciate a good UI. Especially after playing so many games with awful ones.

Cabalist isn’t a strange word if you have been immersed in certain cultures. Examples being tabletop RPGs and Magic: The Gathering.

Defiler seems weak obsidian and that doesn’t look cool.

I was thinking the same thing and I agree. Cabalist is the only one there that does not fit. Ritualist is questionable too but not as bad as Cabalist. I’m hoping Crate revise the names!

Look cool but when the Ashes malmouth show up? We are already almost end of year…

Inquisitor/Soldier should be Commissar.
