Inroducing scaling values on MI bonuses

A level 20 MI often has the same flat values on its local skill bonuses that a level 94 one does. Acquiring a relevant MI makes the early and mid game extremely easy and bypasses power progression while leveling. Why not lower the bonus values on lower level MIs and gradually raise them with level?

Kind of agreed. Ever since skill modifiers became a thing, it completely wrecked early game variety. Just grab whatever random MI that has bonuses to the skills you are using (rolls on those MIs are mostly irrelevant and the skill mods are static) and grind to 94. The only change until that point will just be higher level versions of the same MIs.

I find it weird that the MI mods are scaling.
I’d rather see them static per level bracket, so that there is at least an incentive to farm for an upgrade.
I once played a Shadow Strike build that used Spectral Longswords.
I really used the same lvl ~25 pair well into sixties on Elite, because the damage to SS kept scaling.

you’re probably misunderstanding
MIs don’t scale, that’s the issue some players have, so you get “500” dmg on lvl 20 (which is a massive power spike) just like you get 500dmg on lvl 94 - so OP(among others) want that 500 to be ex 50 at lvl 20, 100 at lvl 35, 150dmg at lvl 50 etc up to 500 at end.
What you might be thinking/seeing is base dmg impacted by your build’s % dmg bonuses increasing through progression (you never see base dmg ingame)

vs suggest “scaling MIs”

oh, that’s a change in perspective.
I didn’t know that the blue lines were showing the numbers after factoring in our sheet stats.
That explains why I kept seeing the same numbers on SS bonus regardless if the MI lvl was 20 or 94.

I would also like to see them scale. MI’s are already a bit too powerful for leveling compared to epic or even low level legendary items.

Their modifiers used to scale, and we got rid of it for a reason. The change was successful, so there are no plans to roll this back.

I’m curious to learn about this change. Is there an older thread on the subject?

I will add that several modifiers are weaker in the lower level versions. Sand Effigy for example doesn’t have flat vitality to Grasping Vines in the versions before level 55.
