I play the game with a friend and we play it with instanced loot on.
At some point, I noticed an interesting thing: when he moves out of a zone (I’m not sure under which conditions exactly) that his loot becomes available to me. For example, we kill some boss and cannot take all the loot, we teleport to a town to sell what we have in bags and when we return we see each other loot.
Another example: yesterday we went to do SR75-76. Beat it, get the loot, repeat. When we finished it for the second time and entered the treasure room it was full of blueprints which were only visible to me.
My assumption: when playing multiplayer when something drops blueprint it check if the blueprint could be learned by any of the players (or by the host) and if the check is true it dropped for a random player (or next player if it is round-robin) but as he had been playing the game for way longer he learned a lot of blueprints and don’t see these drops. And I start to see it when we move to another zone and return.
And here are my questions:
- Regarding blueprints drops: are they based on the fact anyone can learn it or the host can learn it?
- How to trigger this behaviour of sharing the loot? For example, we recently were doing Ancient Grove and I died when we just killed Gargabol. I would like him to be able to take my loot. How can we do it? I don’t want to enable free-for-all loot as it will produce problems with splitting components/etc
Thank you
