Hey guys, is there any build out there focusing on Stronghold set, that doesn’t go for FS? Was thinking maybe tactician, with Justicar set…
Cadence is horrible with stronghold. It does not empower WPS well and that’s the whole deal with stronghold.
Until Oathkeeper comes with Righteous Fervor, FS is the next best thing. I’d even go Savagery instead of cadence if you don;t want FS. You have good WD% synergy with WPS and savagery and also RR from Wind DEvils
I’ve noticed oathkeeper has a fire autoattack replacer , plus in this set there is a shield. I have stronghold set taking dust in my stash until fg will be realeased the i will try oathkeeper+ demo.

Thanks a lot for the answer, Fluff. I was having doubts about Cadence in that regard. And also intended to ask opinions about possible Paladin/Warlord ranged AA builds using the set. Can hardly wait now, probably ranged Paladin is a beast. Though I won’t ask you to confirm that 
Hehe, my thoughts exactly. Just got the gun that I was missing from the set and was hoping to test it out until we get the expansion. But my mind was already on ranged Oathkeeper
I just can’t decide between demo or inquisitor as 2nd class, probably inquisitor being better but i can’t remember oathkeeper exclusive even if i doubt it is more useful than censure.
Vindicator or Purifier work best. Tactician is a downside for this set.

I assume you’re meaning Divine Mandate. With more physical to fire conversion. Maybe that crit damage and slow res are worthwhile (besides all other stats) enough to search for another form of RR. Curious to see what you guys come up with once you’re allowed to share builds on the forum
If you want something original, go with Vindicator. 100% it would work. Other combos that are not Purifier - not really.

I made a Fire/Cold Tactician a long time ago. Double Runes + WPS.
I’ve begun to theorycraft a combo with Stronghold/Justicar using Righteous Fervor for the expansion too, waiting for the GT update to see how it’s supported by new gear but it looks promising (well… on paper :eek:)

FS and WPS work very well together, do not underestmate it
You might’ve missed the topic a little bit. OP literally asked for a build that a) is neither commando nor purifier and b) doesn’t use firestrike. Yet the link you provided is a purifier build using firestrike :eek:

Hey. Thanks for the input. I wouldn’t dream of underestimating purifier or FS. Even though Demo could use some loving from the devs. I do run a DW ranged purifier and yes, FS with Brimstone is the best ranged AA replacer out there. Also, i am familiar with both Safarel’s and Actuanpanda’s Aegis purifiers. That being said, it’s good to see that the build is still doing good even now.
I was just trying to see how well the Aegis set could be used with other masteries. As Superfluff hinted, it’s probably going to work well with the oathkeeper’s AA. It would be interesting to see a ranged shieldbreaker, using either firestrike or righteous fervor. Which of the two will do better as a ranged AA replacer remains to be determined. FS with Brimstone is likely going to come out on top, although Superfluff’s statement in the thread: “Until Oathkeeper comes with Righteous Fervor, FS is the next best thing” may suggest something else. We’ll just have to wait and see.
