Is an auto attack apostate possible/viable?

I am very new to the game so best to just assume i don’t know much. Basically would it be possible to make and auto attacking DW ranged apostate by converting elemental damage through gear? And why or why not would it work?

  2. Replace the 2H gun with 2 Mythical Morguul’s Mortality DW guns, making sure to equip the Beronath component to one of the guns to obtain an Auto-Attack replacer.
