Is Blade Arc a dead skill?

Decided to start a Blademaster…thought about going for bleed damage and I have paused. Is a Blade Arc/Bleed build viable, and what would I do against immunity to bleed?

EDIT: It seems like a Cadence/BA combo would synergize well, but that’s a lot of skill points.

Viable, sure, warder (and not only) in Bloodrager`s set, for example.

No, Cadence + Blade Arc doesn’t work. Blade Arc + Savagery works, and is good if you are playing Bleed Warder. This is also the only build that should use Blade Arc, Cadence is better for all others.

i’vemade a spam build. fantastic vs mobs with blind fury on, you just plow through mobs. But vs single tarkets only 40-50K is not stellar. Still, not worse than Callidor spam.

There is no enemy that have full immunity to bleed.
Some of them has really high resist to bleed, but, again, not 100%

I’m using this skill to level my Blademaster and I think is great.
Can’t tell about being the main skill of a level 85 build.

I have a blade arc character in the list that is sitting there from the time when no one heard about cadence. He recently cleared Valburry and killed Rashalga if that matters. The build uses physical untransmuted blade arc as primary with mixed bleed and trauma dot as secondary, a strange one but it works. Would not call it underpowered. Maybe in comparison with overpowered builds its not equal, but calling skill dead is a strong statement.

the problem i had with blade arc is you’ll be there all week using it on bosses (esp undead or chaos giants), but against crowds it’s pretty fantastic. again, as long as they’re not undead.

even with lots of -resist you can see regular bleed ticks of single and double digits on undead in ultimate :furious:

What are you doing, exactly to attack? All I see available is BA.

Physical blade arc as primary means spam blade arc. Put it on LMB and spam. He can also cast CoF with Rend attached and kill mobs that way.

Bleed focused blade master is bad because it lacks one of the two necessary debuffs. CoF or devouring swarm, if not both, are necessary if you are going to use bleed damage as primary. That means you need a warder or witchblade if you also want blade arc.
