i was suprised at how utterly terrible this armor set is given you have to kill [the toughest world boss in the game?] to get it.

sure it would be CRAZY OP for level 1. but by the time you finish CHAPTER 1 you should have plenty of better options, especially if you save epics like i do lol. And the armor value is suicidal, basically the same as being naked. As for the 40% xp boost that’s laughable since you should already have +100% XP pots that don’t take up a gear slot.

then i realized maybe it levels up with you, which would totally make it worthy of the challenge in attaining it. anyone know how this set works? or is it really that terrible :stuck_out_tongue:

He’s not the strongest enemy in the game.

You can equip his set before turning in quests, the quest exp amount will increase by the value the set gives.

It’s basically for the extra XP, 140% is still better than 100% after all. It doesn’t level up or anything like that, but Normal difficulty is easy enough that the terrible armor values don’t really matter. I usually take it off at the start of Elite though, since enemies start hitting harder and I’m usually around Lv70 by that point anyway.

Lokarr’s set is really good for leveling.
Together with XP potions I managed to level a new char to 97 in 12 hours.
Really good time for me considering I usually need around 20-24 hours depending on build, before the existence of these 2 factors.
I think they cut leveling time by about 35-55% depending on how efficient you are.

Not related: actually ended up getting this blueprint while doing the quest for the skill point. Thought it was somewhat amusing, considering how many runs I did before to get the lv. 75 version and now I randomly hit a jackpot when I don’t even want it.

I used it for all elite with a dw purifier and was not holding me back. Nice res and health bonus. You have to worry to not be hit by high physical attacks though.

The boots are particularly good as u get 10ish movespeed right off the bat.

are you sure about that? other +XP boosts have no effect on quest XP or crucible xp.

I thought he was harder than ravager?

i always use unseen swiftness boots on lowbies- i have 24% movespeed version banked, with mark of the traveler it’s insane. and they have better than level 1 stats lol

They affect exp gained from quests, i tested it.

He’s not, he’s much weaker.

i got that blueprint for the 94 on ELITE lol, just doing my hidden path not even thinking about loot :smiley:

If I’m leveling a caster / ranged build I usually ride the lokarr set up to 75 or higher. the xp bonus is just too damn juicy.

Not to mention that in the other secret quest, the item is also not useful for a max level character. I think that it’s great that they designed the rewards for that battle so that they’d be useful, but not TOO useful.
