Is stacking slow worth it?

So I noticed that in AoM you can reliably stack over 100% attack speed slow on an enemy, for example:

25%+10% from Veil of shadow with the Mythical Chilling grip gloves
around 25% from Spectral wraith with some overcap
24% from the Cursebearer ring (do the procs from Empowered and Mythical Cursebearer count as different skills, i.e. stack with each other?)
40-50% from slow pool many items give (Timeflux ring, Timewarped boots etc.)

Let’s say we don’t just focus on stacking slows, but 110-120% is still reasonable for a PB or BH Reaper. I know Reaper already has a ton of defensive layers (fumble, dodge, high DA and health, enemy damage reduction), but slow used to be so great for beating up bosses before it got nerfed because it would lock a boss into a special attack animation which you could then avoid after getting your hits in.

Tbh, I’m not 100% sure how slow resistance works in relation to the -xx% attack/total speed debuffs, I’m assuming it’s the same way as for slow, i.e. it counts total slow like it’s damage and reduces it by a percentage.

If this is true, it seems like slow is only really useful vs mobs, though it’s really useful vs mobs. Nemesis have 90% slow resistance, so even a 100% slow should not make much of a difference. Is there a way to reduce slow resistance?

Thoughts?

Someone tried a build like it in 1.0.5.1 here. Don’t know how well their setup works against Nemeses or anything similar though as their only video is of killing Log.

Besides that, I think Fluff has said a few updates ago that he liked stacking slow for Crucible.

Also used slow res stack in the kiting version of thisbuild.

To matter vs nemeses you need to stack at least 140 imo

My rule of thumb is if you notice your own slowing effect on something it will die before it matters and if you fight something that takes long enough to kill to notice any effects, they’ll have too much resistance for it to matter.

Slow is a trap when used by the player.

Oh, wow, Superpluff, that is an awesome build, i used to love builds that just stood there while procs did all of the work in vanilla. I never noticed the massive speed debuff mod on WoP from Temporal Tempest, now i wanna DW those.

Edit: I distinctly remember seein an item proc that debuffs a ton of CC resistances, including really exotic ones like sleep. Was I hallucinating?

No.

But IMHO it wouldn’t be terribly useful in practice.

Ah, thx, I never would have found it on my own. Lol @ everything but the slow.

I can’t find it right now…but Okami did a slow-themed infiltrator.

VoS + 2x Temporal daggers + other items I can’t remember.

But basically, he made log look like a sloth.
