Is the Devotion Map Dead Already? Any room for more?

Many of us love this game due to the complexity of builds and the Devotion system added another layer of customization not present in many arpgs.

Question is has Crate decided to end our joy but finally nailing the constellation coffin? Is there a possibility to add moar devotion figures (not points) in the near future. Many of the exisiting builds are getting similar in terms of Devotion choices and the diversity is getting dwarfed each single day. Example all fire builds will always get meteor shower, lightning always get ultos etc etc. Would love to see another constellation that resembles the exisiting ones with similar requirements. There are still too many animals and Crate characters not pinned in this map, and the moar you look up into the sky, you realize that its actually not that big.

Imho devotions making is not that complicated compared to making new gears and a new mastery? Hoping Crate adds few moar devotion figurines.

What do u think?

Since it’s unlikely we’re getting another expansion, the answer is no. Seriously doubt they’d add to devotions without one. If constellations aren’t being used then tinker with them to make them more attractive, not add yet more to the mix.

Clearly you haven’t seen THE SPREADSHEET.

you could just convert half the %type damage to %all damage in t2 and t3 devotions where applicable (but not on granted procs obviously) and you’ll see a much better variety.

OFCOURSE there’s room for more constellations - STILL no constellation dedicated to myself :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Yeah, I think there’s still some room between Ghoul and Wretch. :smiling_imp:

Between mad_lee and you, you say? That would be a honor! :smirk_cat:

I havent so do you mind spreading to us this piece of sheet ?

TBH, I think FG has gotten devotions perfect

I’ve never been this spoiled for devotion options given the huge amount of conversions which have been added into the game.

Blind sage, after being overshadowed by torch and ultos for all these years, has finally proven itself as the best elemental T3 if you can support it adequately.

Affliction has rocketed up to one of my favorite retal constellations.

Revenant has opened up builds to more possibilities given the fact that we are no longer limited to manticore for flat RR.

Wendigo has become a staple in many vitality builds.

etc. etc.

Personally, I would prefer to see some changes to underperforming constellations before new ones are added in.

Tempest, dryad, gallows, autumn boar, manticore, crown, yuugol, and scales.

If it’s that easy then just make a mod for it. Job done.

Spanksalot that’s enough!

Korvaak devotion isn’t impressive in my opinion. But yeah improving underperforming/underused is better thing. And no more dying constellations, only dying Gods.

And yes, in recent patch there’s huge revival of devotions, like Sage, Wendigo, Scythe and others.

The Devotion Map didn’t just die, it was MURDERED.

No, thanks. I haven’t planned one more Devotion T-shirt.

oh god i want that shirt quick…

Really? Non-shield retal with a crap-load of cdr, I suppose (- and in the zone of Murmur). There are quite a few blue devotions that give %retal for less investment and affliction takes a lot of points. I’ve never been overly impressed with the proc.

Yeah, tbh, 7 devotion points for a low yield of 2 affinities…it could stand to be buffed some.

But the proc IS good. It’s far more reliably than targo’s anvil

Except the high proc anvil moves with you… High proc meaning you make it high-proc with investment.

Affliction has no range limitation, which means you don’t need to be right in front of the enemy to attack them. As you’ve noted, it scales incredibly well with CDR, and you get OA (a stat retal builds are extremely starved of) as well as 10% crit.

The first 4 nodes of anvil, however, don’t really provide anything for a retal build.

Well to each his own. My common experience with Affliction is that it does have range…but that also means that it can be often exactly where it does no good, unless you move over to it
