Is there a tool or any way to move a Custom Game character into a Main Campaign file?

I choose Custom because I wanted to play with GrimInternals thinking it was a mod. Recently I learned it’s an overlay and not a mod at all, which means I have been playing in Custom mode for no reason using no mods this entire time. Now I have 3 characters at or near level cap fairly far or completed with the main game and tons of items, but I cannot use them. I picked up Crucible and learned I cannot even play that now either! I don’t want to lose these characters I worked on and put so much time into, and I don’t have any in Main mode. Like I said - I’m just using GI and no mods, is there ANY way at all whatsoever to move my characters so I can play Crucible content or am I screwed?

I tried moving the character save files from the User folder to the Save folder. Now they show up in the main menu but I am unable to press the Start button to actually play as them.

Perhaps you can use GDStash in this way (I don’t if it’s possible, but as it can import full build, it must do that I mean), look at the tools section of the forum ?

Well it looks like I’m screwed. All my characters I’ve sunk hundreds of hours into and actually haven’t been used with mods at all are now totally unusable in Crucible. Friggin’ fantastic.

I really don’t know if I wanna start from square one with every character on every difficulty all over, this sucks :rage:

Do you post your problem on GDStash topic ?

GDStash can change the mod-flag of the char, turning it into a vanilla char.

Holy crow it worked, and it was as simple as ticking a box! Man, I’m a happy hunter tonight.

Thank you GDStash.
